Licenses

Per Chapter 11, Article A of the City of Marion Code, all electrical contractors must obtain an electrical contractor’s license through the City of Marion.

It is recommended that you contact the City Clerk’s office at 618.997.6281 prior to coming in to be sure you submit all required documentation.

First time applicants are required to complete an exam.  This will need to be scheduled with the Building and Code Services department.  Please contact them at 618.993.2422 for further information.

The following is a list of items that may be required:

  • Proof business and licensing
  • Surety bond in the amount of $20,000.00
  • Fees required per city ordinance

Other Forms

Anyone planning to operate a food truck within the City of Marion, must provide the City Clerk’s office with the following information:

  • Provide date, time and location
  • Written permission from property owner
  • Provide food handling certifications from Bi-County Health Department
  • Provide Certificate of Liability Insurance
  • Copy of Illinois Business Tax Number (Sales Tax Number)
