OLD BUSINESS
A. ORDINANCE 3429 – Council approval Amending Ordinance 2342 – adopting the International Building Code.

NEW BUSINESS

FIRE DEPARTMENT

1. Council approval to apply for the 3 following grants.
a. Office of the State Fire Marshall Small Tools Grant – $7,500.00.
Would purchase an Ice Rescue Boat if the Fire Department receives the Grant.
b. Assistants to Firefighters Grant Fire Prevention Grant – $25,000.00.
Would purchase a desk top training house if receive the Grant.
c. Assistants to Firefighters Grant – $80,000.00.
Would purchase an exhaust removal system if receive the Grant.

STREET DEPARTMENT
2. Council approved the purchase of paint and bead supplies at a cost of $21,000.00 at the 02/26/2018 Regular Council Meeting. Since Street Department Superintendent Doug Phillips has learned that additional supplies are needed to go with the paint, (cross walk decals and more beads), he asked Council to approve the additional cost which will be approximately $8,000.00. The additional $8,000.00 is still under the budgeted amount for paint in the Street Department budget.

4 Council approval of the resignation of Cheleste Sieveking as a Librarian at the Marion Carnegie Library effective as of March 23, 2018.

5 ORDINANCE 3431 – AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE PLAT OF DEDICATION OF A STREET RIGHT OF WAY PLATTED TO THE CITY OF MARION, COUNTY OF WILLIAMSON, STATE OF ILLINOIS, FROM PENTECOST ROAD EAST TO THE LIBERTY VILLAGE APARTMENTS AS MEADOWLAND PARKWAY.

6 ORDINANCE 3432 – AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR AND APPROVING THE THIRD AMENDMENT TO THE MARION TAX INCREMENT FINANCING DISTRICT V REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT AREA, PLAN & PROJECTS.

7 Council approval of bids for clearing of trees on the Halfway Road extension to Westminster Drive.

8 Council approval of sale of 4.5 acres of land to Precision Land Holdings LLC in Robert L. Butler Industrial Park – $45,000.00

9 Council Approval of Stormwater Management Plan for Merchant Development, 2804 E. Outer Drive and Stormwater Prevention Plan.

10 Council approval of annual Frontier Maintenance Agreement amount of $6,000.55.
This covers all city buildings except Civic Center, Library, Pavilion and Senior Citizens.

ANNOUNCEMENT

Beginning April 2, 2018, the City of Marion Code Enforcement Department will start posting yards over six inches (6”) in height for failing to mow. Ordinance #1777.
